1. About these terms
These terms apply to use of the Election Printing website, quote requests and orders for print products. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and accept these terms. We may update them from time to time; the version shown when you place an order will apply to that order.
Our sales contact is sales@electionprinting.co.uk. Our legal business details must be completed in the website settings and shown on checkout, invoices and customer communications before live trading begins.
2. Products, specifications and quotes
Product descriptions, options, images and turnaround information are intended to help you choose a suitable product. Screen colours and images are illustrative and may differ from the finished printed product. Quotes are based on the specification supplied and are valid only for the period stated on the quote. A quote is not an offer to supply until we confirm acceptance.
You are responsible for checking the product, size, quantity, paper or material, sides, finish, turnaround and delivery details before payment. If you need a product or quantity not shown online, please request a quote before ordering.
3. Prices, VAT and payment
The checkout displays the applicable product price, delivery, VAT where selected or applicable, and the total before you pay. Prices and availability can change before an order is accepted, but changes will not alter the confirmed total for an accepted order. Payment is processed securely by the configured payment provider.
An order is not treated as paid or confirmed solely because you return to the website after payment. We rely on payment confirmation from the payment provider. If payment fails, is cancelled or remains pending, we may not begin production.
4. Order acceptance
Submitting an order is an offer to buy the selected goods. An on-screen or email order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order and payment information; it does not by itself mean we have accepted the order for production. We may contact you if an item is unavailable, a specification cannot be fulfilled, the price is clearly incorrect, payment cannot be confirmed, or we need further information. If we cannot accept an order, we will explain why and arrange an appropriate refund where payment has been taken.
5. Artwork and customer content
You are responsible for the accuracy, quality, permissions and legal compliance of artwork and other content you provide. Please follow our Artwork Guidelines. We may review artwork for obvious production issues, but this is not a comprehensive proofing, design, legal or regulatory checking service.
You confirm that you have the right to use the text, images, logos and other material you upload. You must check spelling, contact details, dates, quantities, size, layout, colour choices and final artwork before approval. We are not responsible for errors present in customer-approved artwork.
6. Election material and imprints
For election or political material, you remain responsible for ensuring that the content and any required imprint meet the rules that apply to your campaign and election. Our Election Imprint Guide provides general information only and is not legal advice. We may decline material that appears unlawful, infringes another person's rights, or cannot reasonably be produced, but this does not transfer legal responsibility for the content to us.
7. Production, colour and tolerances
Production begins only after payment is confirmed and, where required, artwork is approved. Turnaround refers to production time unless we expressly state otherwise; delivery or transit time is separate. Printing involves reasonable production tolerances. Colour can vary between screens, proofs, print runs, paper stocks and materials. Small variations in trim, fold, position, shade or quantity that are within normal commercial printing tolerances are not defects.
8. Delivery and risk
Delivery options and applicable charges are shown at checkout. Estimated dispatch and delivery dates are estimates unless we have specifically agreed a guaranteed date in writing. Please ensure that the delivery address and contact details are correct and that someone can receive the goods where required. If there is a delivery problem, contact us promptly so that we can investigate.
9. Cancellations, returns and problems
Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. We will explain whether this is still possible and any reasonable costs already incurred. Print products made to a customer's particular specification or using customer artwork may be excluded from the usual cancellation right for personalised or bespoke goods, depending on the circumstances. This does not affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty, not as described, or otherwise fail to meet the standards required by law.
Please inspect goods promptly after delivery and tell us about any shortage, damage or quality concern, with clear photographs where helpful. We will consider the issue fairly and may ask for supporting information or the return of samples. Any refund, reprint or other remedy will be assessed in line with your statutory rights and the circumstances of the order.
10. Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and your statutory consumer rights. Subject to those rights, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for losses arising from customer-supplied artwork, incorrect order details or delays outside our reasonable control.
11. Privacy and website use
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Our Cookie Policy explains our use of cookies and similar technologies. You must not use the website unlawfully, interfere with its operation, or attempt to access accounts or data that do not belong to you.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you retain the protection of any mandatory provisions of the law of your usual residence. Please contact sales@electionprinting.co.uk first if you have a question or complaint so that we can try to resolve it.
This is a tailored website draft based on general UK consumer and print-order principles. It is not legal advice and should be reviewed by a qualified UK legal adviser against Election Printing's final business details, delivery arrangements, returns process and live checkout before launch.
